The University of the Philippines Alumni Association Edmonton, through its founding president Mila Bongco, donated children’s books to various schools and organizations in Winnipeg and Toronto.
Mila, an award-winning Edmonton writer, respected artist, and community leader, completed a bilingual Filipino-English book tour in the two cities on September 26 – October 6, 2019. She met with school administrators, teachers, community leaders and students presenting Filipino culture and heritage.
